This is an excellent reminder of what a time play is. Too often I think we get caught up in the stereotypical "Two outs runner on second" mentality of a time play, but as we see here that's not the only time a time play can happen.

Had this same scenario happen last night in my HS game. Throw to 2B from CF was bobbled by F6 and the R3 tagged up and touched HP between the time the F6 bobbled the ball and secured the out. I had to remind my PU to score the run if he crossed before the out was made. He looked at me like a deer in headlights.
