I wear Mizuno Wave trainers. G-something, but I'm not sure. They're the ones without the knobby soles. They're great. They are made of a stiff grain of leather that is easy to clean and doesn't need polishing. They also have a very nice insole that I wish my running shoes had. My local ma and pop sporting goods store had them on sale for 36 bucks. If you can get them on the cheap, you won't be disappointed.

I wear the mizuno wave traniners for the bases. These are my 3rd pair. I had the originals which were mesh and leather and although a fine shoe, the mesh held the dirt and there was not enough leather surface to shine properly.

I have 2 pairs of the current all leather wave trainers. Mizuno uses fine leather and they hold up well and take a good shine. I have one pair in all black and the others with the white trim. (HS association requires all black shoes).

I clean and polish both pairs. I use automobile white wall bleach on the white trim. I would only add that I find that for me, Mizuno runs small.........I usually wear a 9 but in Mizuno I wear 9.5

I have a pair of Wave Trainer G2's. They have lasted me 2 seasons, but need to be replaced. The pleather is starting to crack on the sides where it meets the sole. They were very comfortable, but the soles are also starting to break down, and aren't as springy anymore. The one thing I did not like was trying to keep the white part of the soles clean. In the future, it's all black soles for me. Now that NB is not making the 350 anymore, I am going to wait and see what reebok does. Hopefully, when they release their umpire line to the public next year, they will have a base shoe similar to their Thorpe model football official shoe that is all black, including the logo on the sides. I picked up a pair of the thorpe's for football, and they are very very comfortable, but have the nobbies on the bottom, which is fine for football, but not so sure if they would be good for baseball.

Hey Blue 32_ I went to NB today to get properly measured because I recently had foot problems (bunions and some plantar faciatis) and I am only 40. But anyway Doug at NB told me even though teh 350's are no longer in production dont worry he says teh next model will still be as comfortable and durable if not more. I hope he is right. And for good measure I ordered a set of 450 mk's for behind the plate. If they are half as nice as posters say they are I should be very happy!!!!
