I guess I've just hit the jackpot when it comes to jackasses this year... No amount of ignore, acknowledge, warn has prevented any of the 5 ejections I've had since the beginning of May. Sure the bantam (14 year old) kid who told me my call was f**king garbage, when he got picked off at second for an inning ending out then proceeded to call me a f**king joke and then tossed his helmet with disgust was a pretty easy peasy straight forward ejection, but then his daddy coach who decided to take up the reigns and let loose with a string of insults and questioning my integrity (as well as the 3 other umpires on the field for that game) the whole IAW was fruitless and finally after deciding to tell me how many calls I've messed up that day (for the second time) I dumped him.  Last night dumped another coach who at over 100 feet away from the plate had what I guess was a better view of the play at the plate disagree vigorously with my out call. Again with the IAW about arguing a judgement call coach is still going full steam about how a tag didn't even happen, boom goes the dynamite.  The last 2 dumped  coaches had decided they needed to start yelling at each other over a minor incident on the field which was being dealt with by my partner and myself.  I had to get loud and tried to place myself between then (they were nowhere near each other, not stepping into THAT kind of a mess. After a whole lot trying to get peoples attention, telling them what we were doing to remedy the situation several warnings to knock it off, getting them to see the situation was remedied (coaches are still yelling at each other) and I am ashamed to admit, an ultimatum that I didn't want to hear any more or the next person was going to be ejected, one coach was gone after about 3 seconds of silence and #2 went at the half inning when he decided he needed to start up again with the previous incident......  They just don't stop....

Obviously, there's more to the stories, but it sounds like some of them got too much leash. I hope the kid was dumped after his first comment. His coach should not have gotten much IAWE. In the right situations, go IE. Some people want to get on the expressway and skip all local exits. Help those guys out and get them to E fast!

IAWE is not a tool for most situations. Its usefulness is for continuous, building disagreement (chronic, if you will.) It is not to be used for issues that are building in the moment (acute.) In fact, I really don't see much of a use for it outside of chirping on balls and strikes.
