That's West Texas and New Mexico for those of you scoring at home. 

I've been a JUCO umpire for five seasons now and never knew I was Region 6-Kansas.

I can say that in the other regions I've been in, there's no "Region Umpires" or "being associated with a region."  Assigning is different in different areas, but the "region" concept is just for post season games (teams play first within a region / district and the winners go to nationals).
