A fellow umpire asked me this question which I never even thought of. I quickly read thru the NFHS rule book and couldn't find anything but could have missed it. He asked if there is a rule requiring players to wear cups? I asked how do you know some don't? He said after a third baseman took one off the jewels one of the other players said he never wears one and neither do a few other guys. Personally I don't care but you know how FED rules can be. Thanks for your help in advance.

Only the Catcher is required to wear a Cup.
