Did LL change their umpire application this year to include:

Do you use the hands on knees, aka the Gerry Davis stance, when you work the plate?

Seriously, every umpire I have seen on TV in the LLWS used the HOK stance this year.

I noticed the same thing.

I noticed this too! When I worked LL about 10 years or so ago, I was one of the only ones using the GD. In fact, even in clinics where I instructed, I was asked to only teach the 'heel-toe' that LL wanted everyone to use. So I guess the 'worm had turned' so to speak!!

My friend that's working uses the GD. He's got the plate on the 3rd place game tomorrow.

Since he's from the same region as Chicago, he can't work the final. I know, I know...
