is it a balk to pick off from the windup? Pitcher was a lefty lifted leg turned and threw to first, got the runner off the bag, i didn't balk him because I had never seen anything like this, at all

Ok this is OBR, the OHC was yelling for a balk, I know him from rec ball last year and there we used FED rules so i guess he got confused, its nice to have gotten that call right, Thanks Jax

It was a crafty move, one most 10 yearolds(11/12 league, team was short so this kid was called up from 9/10,) wouldnt be able to pull off. But his dad is the coach so he taught him the move i guess.

You're giving the coach a lot of credit to know not one, but TWO rulesets

You're giving the coach a lot of credit to know not one, but TWO rulesetsI wasn't giving him credit, I'm just saying his confusion was understandable given he coached using FED for 15 years and now had to switch.

I get it now, this coach is a rare one, he has been in baseball for his entire life knows the rules(FED that is) by heart.
