Chat tool

I very seldom see anyone using the chat tool... maybe we should look for a moderator that could keep some good umpire talk going... just an idea. NO I am not interested in the job.

Are you suggesting a specific time each week to have a moderated online chat? I find that an interesting idea. Suggestions on how to do that? Should we have a different mod have subject topic or just have a free for all.

JohnT suggested something similar. I think it would be a good idea if we can schedule a topic with times and dates.

Let me think of a topic I feel comfortable in covering, that may be able to be covered in a chat session and we'll give it a shot.

Maybe we could do a specifc rule like OBR obstruction. I know Pete and I have sparred over it many times. B)

Maybe something like field coverage with a specific number of runners. I would be interested in doing something like that, the only problem is my typing sucks. Sounds like fun though.

I was thinking something along the lines of those too. Just one specific rule something that is somewhat easily covered until we see how the presentation in the chat works. We'd have to figure out a way to moderate questions so that the presenters info wouldn't get lost in a flood of questions yet questions could be asked and responded to like a questions cue.

I also have to think about capacity of the chat program. It it a good but inexpensive one. If 20-30 people were there could the program handle it ???
