I'm doing a 10u tournament this weekend and I need some tips on working the 60' diamond.  What are the basics?  It's been a looooong time since I have done this age.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming they are not leading off but still stealing The general rule of thumb as a BU is to position yourself ahead of the runner (always on outside of the IF).

If ball goes to OF, you come inside the diamond, ball stays on IF, you stay outside

There will be leadoffs and stealing.  Elares, that is pertinent info.  And we are to enforce balks, no warnings.  There will be 2 of us.  I will start on the plate and then the later games, I will be on the bases.  Does the plate guy pretty much use 90' mechanics for rotations, i.e., when there might be plays at third?

When I do small diamond games with big diamond rules (by that I mean runners are allowed to lead and so on) then I use big diamond mechanics.  There might be less need to the plate guy to rotate up to third because it's easier for the base guy to get an angle but that is totally up to how you pre-game that.  As long as you are both on the same page I don't think it will be a big deal.

Why don't them just give them an extra base when they reach the previous base safely?!!! Crazy! What division is this tournament?
