Okay so I'm looking at shin guards (obviously) and I found these.

However no matter how much I search I haven't been able to find decent reviews so I figured one of you guys have used them at some point. How are they? Worth it, especially when they're half the price of Wilson's?

I'm looking at new and used right now but I found these and I was curious. Besides that, already broken in gear makes me twitchy.

I have owned these and they were okay.  Very low profile.  Solid enough for JV HS.  My complaint with them is that the padding at the bottom is very stiff so it made them about 1-1/2" longer.  A 17" was really an 18-1/2".  This caused them to spin around on me when I ran.  If you are > 6' tall these might work.  Personally I like the Honigs K2010.  $60 and they come in many sizes.  They are not low profile but, they are bullet proof.

Proof. But they are heavy, hard to run in, rub at the knees and....well I would keep going. The only thing I liked about hem was they are billet proof.
