Did he just steal 1B?

So had a 13-14 DH last night for Dixie ball. Crazy and long night (even with the 1:45 time limit).

1st game: I was BU, we had an uncaught 3rd strike, throw from F2 sails over F3's head and RF is nowhere to be found. Batter rounds em all.

2nd game: 1) one kid got HBP 3 times. On the 3rd time, he tried to dodge the pitch and ended up catching it, falling over, and rolling it back to the pitcher. Go on to 1B young buck.

2) Batter walks and pitcher wants a new ball (just holds it up when he gets it back from F2). BR continues without hesitation and rounds first to head to 2B. During this time, F1 throws the ball to F2 who is trying to hand the ball to me. I just shake my head and say "i have not granted time, there is still a play going." F2 shrugs his shoulders, throws the ball back to F1. F1 shrugs his shoulders and meanders back to the mound with the ball that he doesnt want to throw. Then the BR STARTS TROTTING BACK TO 1B! My partner and I look at each other with a WTF look while the defense just lets the BR go back without trying to get him out.

I talked to the kid later and he thought Time had been called since no one was moving or saying anything. I explained the situatiln and told him he should wait for an umpire to tell him to go back if thats the case. Kid walked away smiling and pointing out to his teammates that he stole 2B and 1B without a pitch being thrown.

*sigh* .... I quit :D

Same type of play happened in MLB last year. Nothing to do but just shake your head...

Read the comments section on that youtube.  Tried to rebut the idiots calling that a balk, but those guys are just too "expert" for me!

I was that, would critisize mlb umps watching games with my dad. He'd say "dont critisze them you dont know how hard their job is" now I became one, best job ever
