A bit confused on this...

After testing this morning some of us went out (in the snow) and started a game of mushball, and naturally I ended up being the umpire. Well, the third base "coach," is minding his own business, then yells to the pitcher, "Yo, [Pitcher], lemme see the ball for a minute!" The pitcher, confused, throws it to him but he steps out of the way and the ball rolls to the fence. About forty different appeals are coming at me from every direction and I consult another LL umpire who's in the field and he says to drop it. Instead I called interference by the 3BC and resume play as is fit for calling the play so. Thoughts?

Call "Time", put everything back as it was, and admonish the "coach" that it would be best if he did not do that again. Then you ask him if he is "clear" on the point, and when he assures you he is, you say. "Very good. Now lets get back to playing baseball."

My advice, don't play in the snow with 13 year olds.

I wasn't going to but I had no choice in the matter. My only saving grace was that there was another semi-experienced umpire in my class. BUT he didn't know how to call this one.

Ah, see I was going to, but that nagging voice from morning announcements "Any students found throwing snow or snowballs will be given saturday school and/or detention," just happened to edge into my mind.

Also wow recess bells are there still schools with those.

Are there still schools with recess.
