McClelland Update

I loved watching Tim McClelland.  Article says back issues may force him to retire, although he just considers himself to be on the DL right now.

 

I had tickets to the 2003 World Series to be played at Yankee Stadium if the Yankees could beat the Red Sox in Game 7.  I had already order my plane ticket and everything but the Yankees needed to beat the Sox.  McClelland had the plate, Boone hit the homer and the rest is history.

I have always thought that MacPhail threw McClelland under the bus over the pine tar bat call, which the umpires got right.
