Can you see the balk?

Hey Y'all,

 

I'm asking for some help. Can you see the balk? If so, was it shoulder movement, head movement, or did he start to move back? I can't tell. I'm not disputing the call. I'd just like to know for sure what it was.

Hi TM, there is not enough video to make that call on what I saw. One second the camera is on the batter from the fistbase dugout, then switches to batter and balk is called!  It seemed that the PU had it all the way, he was animated and definitive!

I'm pretty sure there's another thread on here that looks at this one. This video doesn't show it, but I think its the recap for that game - which if I remember correctly shows an easy running lane interference call that happened in the same half inning - it shows an angle from the third base side. While he was looking in for the signal, he started to pull his body up then stopped.

 

Its a small, blink-and-you-miss-it infraction, but it is there. I also seem to remember in the discussion on here at least a couple of people suggesting that given how minor it was they probably wouldn't call it in their games, or at least that they'd only call it at certain levels.

It's a start stop balk. You can't see it from that vid, but I posted another angle in the thread already referenced.
