Great story.   I continued reading and read that NFL Cheerleaders cover Taylor Swift.  So I clicked on it. Then I noticed there is a gif of Kate Upton in nothing but body paint.   I watched for what I thought was a minute or so I think and then it was morning.

I know a couple of umpires that joke about not knowing what the word "safe" means and that every pitch is a strike.

I think they'd be impressed with this type of efficiency.

Ron's a great umpire, I've worked with him a half dozen times and learn something from him every time. The most recent game with him I learned to use my voice better. I was BU in "C" IFF situation, batter pops it up just on the grass we call it at the same time and I swear I couldn't hear my voice over his and I was standing right beside myself.

And the clueless announcers somehow managed to miss the PU call two penalty strikes for the batter's refusal to take his place in the box..... I am shocked ! (Not.)

Yeah, I could understand hearing something like "Hang on, the umpire just seemed to signal something there. Did he call a strike without a pitch?" because it seems rarer than a guy hitting for the cycle the same day a teammate turns an unassisted triple/throws a perfect game. But to be completely bamboozled and not see or hear anything?

Since this was an MiLB game (National Association League) keep in mind that the batter also violated [6.02(d)(1)] by stepping out of the box with both feet after a pitch that didn't force him out of the batter's box.  The second strike may have been awarded for this [6.02(d)(1)], and the third for not getting back in the box when instructed to do so [6.02©].
