Okay, more info in another thread.  R2 was out for abandonment but how can he be when B3 incorrectly told him he was already out?

Seem like it should be BR out on the tag, R1 and R2 safe on their advances.

By rule, the only logical explanation for R2 being out is abandonment - he certainly cannot be out on a force and it is not intentional interference as R1 advanced... otherwise we have a rules misapplication by the Culbreth crew...

He was called out on a force out call.  You can see U3 signal as soon as F5 catches the ball long before R2 gets to 3B.  Misapplication by someone.  He did not see the out call at HP.  Also, the manager messed this up as well.  He should have argued there was no force at 3B when U3 made the call.  He should have argued for R2 to return to 3B.  Not sure he would have won it but could have and chewed U3 a new one.  PU made the out call in plenty of time.

The only thing I can imagine is PU was pulling back his initial out call and the DP stood.  Either way, someone messed up.  Either PU for calling a phantom tag out or U3 for calling a phantom force out.

Who is B3?

Third-base umpire.  (What's the abbreviation for that?  U3? BU3?)
