Was asked a few days ago if I would take part in a charity game. It's for a kid who has cancer to help with medical expenses, so I said I would. Only twist, I'll be playing instead of working. Hopefully I don't make a fool of myself too much ( haven't played in 10+ years), but its for a great cause and should be fun.

It would be funny if you were playing in the infield and with a rocket hit right at you, you open the gate and let it through to ensure you don't get hit.  We have to train ourselves to look at the game as an umpire, so I wonder how hard it would be to reverse the process for a day.

Have fun!

Don't pull a hammy and don't make any calls!

Yeah!

I played F6 in a softball game, F4 went out for a cutoff, as I covered 2B.  As the throw came to him, I yelled, "Catch!"

Well, it was fun and I didn't get hurt, so it was a good day. Played first and made two spectacular plays. Went 1-3, 3 RBI. Some kids from the league watched us, got a lot of blue, I didn't know you could play from them. Only made one call incidently. Batter hit in the box, thankfully I stopped myself before I said foul, just threw my hands up.
