I had the dish tonight for a single varsity game.  In the top half of the first,  I did not call one pitch.  The ball was either put in play or fouled.   1:25 game.  First time it's ever happened to me.  Anybody else ever do this?

I had one game last year where I didn't have to call a pitch until sometime in the top of the 2nd inning, I think that game went about 1:30. Those are great games as an umpire; the more the batters swing and the fewer pitches we have to call the quicker the game goes and the less chance for whining and moaning about the zone. Love aggressive hitters and pitchers who throw strikes. Those games where you're calling pitch after pitch can turn into really long nights.

I had it happen this year. Top of the first three pitches three outs, all ground outs first pitch swinging. Top of the second lead off batter gets a base hit first pitch swinging, next batter hits a popup in foul ground just behind first base on the first pitch, its caught by the first basemen and the runner was running on the pitch gets doubled off. Next batter grounds out 4-3 on the first pitch. 6 pitches 6 outs.

Not that I could think of. However, beginning of the HS season this year, I had a game where I didn't have to leave A for two whole innongs. It was awesome :hi5:

Two whole innings?

Worked 3rd base for a game at the JUCO Regional recently that went 8 innings and might have had 3 baserunners for both sides, total.

Ended with a walk-off HR with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th.  1-0
