R2, R3. Passed ball hits the backstop and deflects toward the home dugout. RH batter is backing straight out of the box, unaware of the ball's location. R3 attempts to steal home. F2 retrieves the ball and throws to home where F1 is covering. The throw hits the batter. Batter's intent was clearly to get out of the way, but he ends up in the spot that makes the defense's play impossible.

What do you have?

A clusterF*#K. And maybe an ejection :P

 

This is tough and a had to be there. I might have interference here, even if unintentional. But it's difficult penalizing the offense for a terrible pitch.

 

I would probably call this nothing and be ok with it.

No interference, nothing to call.

 

BUT....as you say....it's HTBT.        What the hell are you calling an EJ for on this????  

Buckeye, he was referring to a coach becoming unglued when you call nothing, leading to his possible trip to the parking lot.
