That is what I'm thinking right now as I'm icing the gigantic bruise on my inner thigh.  All that money on protective gear, and those foul tips never find it.  OUCH!

I have never been hit by a foul tip.

Me neither.... Must be a West Coast thing!!

Never hit by a foul tip either.

But I do know the ball has eyes and will find those spots that are not protected.

LOL ... Let me clarify...

I realize that a foul tip isn't a foul tip unless is it caught by the catcher.

I was it with a foul BALL!

It was on a high and tight pitch and the batter checked his swing.  It deflected the ball right onto my inner thigh.

The 7 inch diameter bruise is still alive, well, blue and green on my leg.

If I get hit there again, I will cry on the field.  I know, that isn't manly, but damn does it still hurt!!!!!

They do hurt.

About a month ago I took one to my left wrist.

It was just about healed the following Saturday, but still tender, when it was hit again in the same spot.

When it was hit again I let out a very loud Damnnnnnnn and it was during a Little League Senior Game.

The next thing I heard was some one yelling to get a ice pack from the snack bar which arrived very quickly.

Lightning can strike the same spot twice....lol

I swear it hurts more when lazy catchers let pitches hit you.

" Coach I am having a hard time seeing strikes when I am spending most of my time dodging or getting hit by pitches, just wanted to let you know"
