The second base ump was in the right place for all 3 of the calls - even in a 4-man system you have to be mobile and keep your head in the game.

 

What the   was up with the last runner? He should have been standing on 2!!

A trail runner is usually expected to advance when the runner ahead is in a rundown. SOP baserunning.

 

The trail runner that was tagged out on this play was the B-R.  He was getting there as fast as he could. R1 was the first out on the play.

 

R2 had to wait to see if Cano would make the catch before he had to go to 3B which gave the Yanks time to go after him instead of doing a more expected. 4-6-3.
