Frame it - in the zone!

Litlle kids game...

Catcher must have been told by his coach to "frame" the pitch to get more strikes.

 

Catcher snags one in the dirt and holds it there.  Best one of the night comes in almost shoulder high and the catcher reaches up, makes the catch, and holds it up there to "frame" it.  I call ball and he is still holding it up.  Coach yells out and tells the catcher, "If you are going to frame it, frame it in the strike zone"  It was an entertaining evening.

Had the same thing Saturday.

 

Ball bounced in front of the plate went throught the strike zone and F2 held it there.

I once had F2 (9 y/o, maybe) stand up to receive a pitch, then drop back down into his squat to "frame" the pitch......funniest thing I've ever seen.

The other day I had a catcher catch a pitch that was a ball and pull it into the strike zone. He probably did not realize that I watch the pitch the whole way, not just where he holds it.
