Had a Double Header the other day. HC was wearing Team Pull Over but had on wind pants. I didn't bring it up to him. He came out to the coaches meeting. But stayed in the dug out the rest of the game. Before the 2nd game I decided to ask. He had spilled his whole Soda on his lap when he was trying to get to the game. Didn't have a spare set so just had his Assistant take the 3rd base coaches box.

 

We are told to enforce the rule. But to use discretion. If we are umpiring a Big game(In Southern California, that would be a Trinity League game or equivalent) then we are to enforce the dress code. If we are at Santa Ana High School, we are told to be lenient. They just don't have the same funds as a Mater Dei has access to.
