I have an announcement to make!

Yesterday marked the 1 year anniversary of Umpire-Empire! The sites growth has exceeded my expectations. All of the growth of the site is thanks to you. I know you have many choices as where to get your umpiring information from and appreciate that you choose to spend your time here.

Please continue to give me your feedback about the site and how to make it better. Many of the features here are in direct response to your requests. So keep them coming.

I would also like to announce that I have assembled a staff to assist in making this the best umpiring site on the internet. I have chosen these gentlemen because not only of the quality of their posts here but the overall quality of posts at the many sites they participate in. They have demonstrated excellent knowledge, demeanor, and desire to help all others and am delighted to have them as members of the team.

I've been wandering around on this site for what about a month now but I had never taken notice of it's inception date. Now, based on the shear volume of posts, not to mention the quality of the discussions, I gotta say I'm totally shocked that this site's only been around for a year. That is an accomplishment.

As to the assignment of distinct responsibilities within the board; what a super idea! Warren, it takes a certain kind of leader to delegate and recognize you can't be an expert in every area. Based on the posts I've read you certainly have the right folks in place to give the site an added element/dynamic. I'd like to thank you and your new "crew" for taking the extra time. It may be difficult to grasp how powerful this resource is for guys like me just starting out, but I consider myself very fortunate to gain from the vast experience of guys like yourself willing to share their expertise.

Here's to year two of UmpireEmpire!
