Okay had a terrible week last week time to redeem myself my record is now 18 right & 23 wrong. I'm going to make a hard charge to be above .500 before the bowls begin.

THE BIG GAME

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma

Another great game any way you cut it. This game has huge implications. If Texas Tech wins they remain #2, if Oklahoma wins they could move to #3 or #4. depending on how Florida is rated. It's going to be an offensive explosion. Based on offense I'd say Oklahoma, based on defense I'd also have to say Oklahoma. Add to this Oklahoma is at home. Tough win for Oklahoma. But a must see game.

Obligatory ECU Pick

ECU @ UAB

Last weeks loss for the Pirates while a huge disappointment giving up and being slaughtered in what should have been an easy win. That loss didn't hurt too much. A loss Saturday will put the C-USA East back in play for Marshall & Memphis. By all rights this should be an easy win. Looking at how ECU plays when they're supposed to have an easy win has me worried. They've lost to Houston & Southern Miss, and their losses against NC State & UVA were winnable. ECU wins, but has me worried.

Ole Miss @ LSU

Don't overlook this game Mississippi has been flying under the radar in the SEC. They have had exciting close games against both 'Bama (loss) & Florida (win). They also have a tough defense. This is LSU's last home game in a very long home stand. LSU has steadily improved all season and made for a truly great game against 'Bama. This will be a great game to watch. LSU wins.

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati

Great game, Cincinnati is ahead in the Big East and earning some respect nationally. This will be a close game too they are pretty even offensively, but I have to give Cincy the advantage on defense. Cincinnati wins for the first time against Pitt in an emotional game.

Boston College @ Wake Forest

This is a critical game for both teams With the ACC-Atlantic till up for grabs for 5 of the 6 teams. BC has both the better offense and defense. Plus I'm not sure how well the Demon Deacons can recover from the loss to NC State where if they had won they would have controlled their own destiny. BC wins at Wake Forest.

Miami @ Georgia Tech

Another crucial game for both teams. Just as I mentioned the ACC-Atlantic division is up for grabs so too is the Coastal Division. This is GT's last conference game and a must win as they have the rivalry game next week. They will have to wait and see what happens around them in the ACC to know where they stand. Miami with a win here should make them the most secure in the conference, but the conference will ultimately be decided the final week. Miami has the much better offence, GT the stronger defense. I'm going to predict the upset win for Georgia Tech.

Well another good week for me. I went 5-1, and the game I got wrong was one I was probably most confident in, but was a true upset as Ole Miss beat LSU.

But I did call 3 upsets.

GT beats Miami...

Cinci beats Pittsburgh

And the ultimate Upset Oklahoma beat Texas Tech, But I thought it would be a real game not a blowout.

Then ECU beat UAB and BC beat Wake Forest.

This brings my record to 23-24 in good position to to go above .500 going into Rivalry Week.

On a side note, I will be picking all of the major rivalry games next week. This means I must lift my ban of Clemson, especially as I will be at Death Valley for the game . I will make my picks Tuesday for this week.

I was sorely disappointed in MD yesterday. I wasn't able to watch the game but maybe that was a good thing.

I thought that would be a more competitive game. UMD has been either hot or cold this season, but that loss really hurt.
