New News Feature

I am happy to announce a new automated news section in the forum. The service will give an intro to the article and a link to the entire article. Due to copyright restrictions I cannot give more than what is provided and this will vary depending on the source. The great thing is that you can comment on the news story in the forum.

I think it is great that you are constantly looking for new ideas to bring to the site. Keep it up.

On the other hand, I'm not that interested on seeing every news article that includes the word umpire. I recognize that I am probably in the minority in this opinion and will accept my lowly status. :(

I try to limit it to what may be interesting and pertinent. Please let me know if I'm too far off track.

I am subscribing the site to about a dozen news feeds and am receiving about 50 feeds per day. Many are duplicate so I delete them, I scan them really quick before posting and try to weed out the ones which only have the word umpire in them. "Umpire-Empire Reporter" I have as a user needing approval for their posts so I don't have all the posts I receive automatically published. Boy I've had some interesting ones sent my way.
