let the games begin

Wish me luck over the next two weekends. Starting tomorrow I have two amlg wood bat tournys to work. For some reason in my area of the world we are short handed for quality umpires who want to work the dish (mostly just short handed umpires) So tomorrow I have five games (yes i said 5) 3 plates/2 bases, Saturday 4 games, 2 plates back/back, Sunday 3 games.

Next weekend it is more of the same - along with the weekly schedule of craziness called JrBR.

But then again if you start adding up the adult beverage fund this will generate. WOOHOO!!

Sounds like my schedule for the summer. Your not in cincinnati are you? I start on sometimes Wednesday or Thursdays through Sumday. Calling 4 sometimes 5 games a day except on Sunday only 3.

Me and my partner rotate plates every game.

I do get one week off between last week and the first week of August.

Friday update - best game was game 3. 10 innings 2hours and 20 minutes. I love when players do what they are supposed to do. throw strikes, catch the ball - throw the ball. we had 1 half inning that was 3 pitches.
