Rawlings M2000 Mask

Anybody using or have used a Rawlings M2000 mask? This is the nylon/plastic type mask.

I am in need of a lighter weight mask but don't want to take chances either.

I think you might be better off with a wilson dyna lite mask. I know of no one using anything rawlings for protective gear. I think Gerry davis also has a lightweight mask that would provide better protection than anything nylon/plastic. These kids throw hard. And there are no do overs when it comes to injuries. balls and strikes baby!!!!

I have an older Gerry Mask but with recently developed neck problems, I was looking for something lighter. I googled masks and found the Rawlings among others. Just wanted to know if anybody had used it.

Don't get the plastic mask, In two years with of lots of use, it will dry rot and crack on you and maybe bust good when hit by a foul ball.

Plus pos has a very light weighted mask. I like Wilson gear myself but one of my umps has this +pos mask and it less that a daily newspaper.

Hey all,

I use a Honig's K-82 mask and, with the possible exception of a resin mask, it is the lightest mask I have held. That includes +Pos, Wilson, Mizuno and others. The All-Star I bar is a close second. PLEASE, don't even consider a resin mask because there are too many potential safety hazards with them.

well you know the rest. Just thought I'd see if anybody had experience with it.
