Okay, I'm not so hot on my picks, but I'm going to keep on going. There is a lot of good football happening this weekend, I'll miss most of it with an AAU triple-header Saturday. So I'll have to rely on the highlights on ESPN.

Biggest game of the week:

Vanderbilt @ Georgia. I cant say it enough two tough SEC schools which are both playing very well. I'm going with the favorite Georgia. I think their offense is better than Vandy's Defense and their defense will keep the Vandy in check. Winner Georgia.

Another Great Game:

Virginia Tech @ Boston College. I think a lot of people are looking past this game, but I think it will be a great one and a close game. BC has been under-rated all year and have only lost to a pretty tough Georgia Tech team. BC needs to pull out a win here as they hit the tough spot in their schedule. Virginia Tech has played very well, but has an overall easier schedule than BC. Virginia Tech wins on the road in what should be a great game.

Obligatory ECU pick:

ECU will win over Memphis. No commentary other than if they loose they will suffer the same fate as Clemson and be banned from receiving a pick for the rest of the season.

Upsets, I see 2 games which have a great potential for upsets;

Ohio St @ Michigan St. Ohio State is not the team they once were, but Michigan St has been more consistent. They're playing at Michigan in a tough environment. Michigan State beats Ohio State.

Pittsburgh @ Navy. I don't know why I just feel an upset in this game Navy is playing their best football in years and beat a tough Wake Forest on the road. Pittsburgh has been highly inconsistent loosing to Bowling Green, beating three nobodies, then winning against a tough South Florida team. Navy wins.

I'm going to stick to my formula of not picking the easy games and going out for an upset or two.

Time to eat some more humble pie....

Okay, I'm not so hot on my picks

Nothing has changed here...

Biggest game of the week:

Winner Georgia.

Hey, I got one right.

I was right on all accounts other than the winner. It was an over looked great game. VT is now in serious trouble to even make it to the ACC championship.

Obligatory ECU pick:

ECU will win over Memphis.

Sheeeew, ECU won a game they are supposed to have won, go figure. With UVA's win over UNC I also don't feel as bad about my Pirates loosing to UVA.

Michigan State beats Ohio State.
Where was Michigan St? This was the most disappointing game of the week. Shame on Michigan State, you're not a real football program. OVER RATED. Michigan St. is now banned from any further picks. But now I am looking forward to next weeks Ohio St. Vs Penn State game which I wasn't before.

Pittsburgh @ Navy. I don't know why I just feel an upset in this game Navy is playing their best football in years and beat a tough Wake Forest on the road. What can I say, I had no real reason for picking Navy and it showed.

I promise you I'm a much better umpire than game picker.

I completely agree with you on game picking vs umpiring. I am no better at college basketball. Instead of running a NCAA bracket like most, I run a grid pool. It is just like a Super Bowl grid except when you place the numbers they are yours through the whole bracket. It pays a different amount with each round. You go by the last digit in the score. It's a lot of fun and you don't need to know anything about basketball. It's perfect for me.
