I've been a Red Sox fan for 40+ years (and will be for the next 40) and can't believe how virtually the entire starting staff bitches about every "50/50" pitch that doesn't go their way. I think Lester is one of the premier lefty's in the game when he is on, but if he's going to stare down every umpire over pitches he "doesn't get" he may as well just throw it down the middle every time. Either he or Beckett should be EJ'd (I am sure it is coming) for the crap they've pulled this year arguing pitches. I read that in Monday's game Bobby V. made a visit solely to tell their young lefty (Doubront) to stop staring in after he got balled on a borderline pitch.

Good call on the Ross involuntary release. I like how the NESN commentator (not Eck) kept saying he took two steps after the catch. Nice try but get a clue.
