Anyone know if you can wear a 6 stitch hat with a Wilson low profile mask?

All I have right now are 4 and 8 stich hats.

I have a low-profile and a standard, and I wear a six with either of them.

If you peel your mask off to the left, it'll clear the six with no problem. Act as though it's on a hinge and open it to the left like a door. You never snag your cap that way.

Personal preference, I wear 4 stitch with my mask. I will try 6 when I can. But I feel it compromises my safety. The longer the bill the more likely the mask will be prevented from moving correctly when struck. Why only count on the mask's looseness? To me it has nothing to do with removing the mask.

Agree, well put Will.

I have worn a six stitch under my mask for the last three years. I wear the mask with a very loose harness and have taken more fouls in the mask than I can count, including D-1, 90 mph plus speed pitching. The loose harness allows the mask to spin and sometimes even fall off but usually it just shifts or spins on my bean. Never had a headache, sore jaw or chin or any problem whatsoever. Hat stays on my head by using the mask removal method described above, out and away from chin then up. My two cents, your mileage may vary.

I agree with this on an eight-stitch, but the six is probably safe--especially with a standard profile mask. But I could see going with a four with a low-pro for this reason. I still go with the six either way.

I only use a low profile on the 75 m.p.h. and below guys. Standard profile for the big boys.
