Mid-American Umpire Clinic - Local Clinic

The Mid-American Umpire Clinic will be conducting a local clinic in the St. Louis area on Friday, January 27-Sunday, January 29, 2012.

The clinic will take place at The Fieldhouse in O'Fallon, MO. Hotel rooms have been reserved at the Comfort Inn & Suites in O'Fallon for $69.99 + tax/night for double occupancy.

Instructors will be:

Jason Blackburn - 2010 NCAA D-II National Championship, umpire in 2 NCAA D-I conferences.

Matt Deane - Current Minor League umpire (California League - Long A), Cal & Appy League playoffs.

Greg Chittenden - Former Minor League umpire (AAA Pacific Coast League).

Mark Hutchison - Former Minor League umpire, current college umpire, 1 NCAA D-II regional.

Tim Cordill - Former Minor League umpire, current college umpire.

Additional instructors will be added as necessary.

Also, a reminder of another local clinic we will be conducting in Palmyra, Missouri December 3 & 4. Palmyra is near Hannibal, MO and accommodations have been made at the Holiday Inn in Hannibal. Registration and secure payment option are available now for the Palmyra clinic.

I live in the O'Fallon area. The old links are no longer active ( I assume because they are now linked to the 'tripod' address?)...

Is the O'Fallon clinic still on? I found an older post about it - is it open to "non-league" folks at this time?

The clinic had to be canceled because of some issues with the facility.

I'm sad to see it was canceled, but I'm happy it was. I have a minor surgery on the 6th and didn't want to chance messing something up for the clinic a few weeks later.

will look for other opps.

got me to thinking... there's an indoor facility not far from the original location - Tri-County arena - it is likely available that weekend if it could still take place. It's about 20 miles from the O'Fallon location.
