Hey I wanted to try and get some feedback from everybody on helping me get my new Chest Protector to fit me well.

Here's the situation. I have a very large neck 18.5" and it seemed to dig into the sides of my neck a bit. It wasn't terribly uncomfortable, but I could still feel it and if I had 2+ plates it would annoy me.

This happened on my old CP too. That one was really uncomfortable at first. To fix it I put a soccer ball in the neck, tied it in place with bungee cords and set it outside in the heat for 2 days to stretch it out. I'm hesitant to try this on my new CP. Any thoughts? Don't say lose 20lbs :) Even in HS when I was 140 lbs I had a 17" neck.

No good ideas other than the same thing you already did with the other CP. How about wearing it with a mock neck underneath until it stretches out? Wetting the webbing and pads before wearing to allow some "give" until it breaks in/softens up?

:eek:Hey Major Dave- great minds think alike. I did the same thing with my pluspos BB2000. I wore a mock for about a year until i could stand it . sometimes the break in period could be longer than you think so hang in there UIC.
