Just a hypothetical situation here. Which school teaches the umpires (especially the plate umpire) the common sense not to go 12 innings in their final game of the season. This makes it easier to get an early start on the road home with a piece of furniture bought at the local outlet store earlier that day. A situation such as an automatic safe call on any stolen base attempt in the last 2 innings by the home team, followed by 2 back to back Bob Davidson balks by the umpire(s) should get the job done, especially when the teams are already mathematically in the playoffs anyway.

I can not comment on Bob Davidson.....so i dont know..Are you just pointing this out cause Bob went to Harry's?...

I will assume you are playing coy on this one.

Seems like I read a situation from a box score recently (Aug. 2), while I was googling around, that was similar to what I described. I was just trying to figure out a way (legal or illegal and not ethically right either) that could have helped the 2nd game of a 7 inning double header end in 7 innings and sent the umpires on their way rather than have to work 12 innings in a season ending game, and which school might have mentioned the best way to get out of dodge on get away day other than calling 16 straight pitches a ball (tongue in cheek here for both the school and the situation). I just threw Bob's name in since everyone calls him balk-in Bob whether that is fair to him or not (I think not), and was not trying to reference any school with his name.

I knod of thought you were just having fun with Bob... I will be quiet about him.. "silence can't be misquoted"....LOL

No, which school teaches you to prevent this problem below on the last game of the year for a regulation 7 inning game, and how do they teach you to prevent this. This is after your partner has an 8-3 home team win in 6 1/2 innings finished in 1:39 in the first game. You can also get good furniture buys around this area per google.

Notice the plate umpire bolded for the last game of the regular season for this 7 inning game that took 12 innings (bolded) and went 3:11, although that is pretty good time for 12.

Sorry that the normal game box style spread out
