Im thinking I might have to get a little hardcore on this this year being the new guy on the block in my association and all. Especially if they make it a POE... should be fun.

If I see jewelry on a player I will send him to take it off, then I yell to the coach that any other infraction will lose him a player. I don't any problem enforcing this rule as I don't believe jewelry has any place on a sports field no matter the age. I hate in the pros as well as anywhere else. Most jewelry isn't a big deal in baseball but it is in other sports like football, wrestling and soccer. To keep things simple they just enforce it accross the board for all sports.

The way I've handled it in the past.

I call the coach over and tell him "Skip, you verified at the plate meeting that all of your players were properly equipped. Now I see one of your players with a band-aid covering an earring. Am I going to have to send both of you hme early?"

The coach will immediately call the player in and make him remove the earring. It's never failed me.
