I am not one to throw the nickname of rat for coaches around lightly. Maddon and Ozzy are two that just seem to earn it. How smart is it to cheat and then brag about it to the press. Maddon

What a tool. Maybe he should have done his job and got the reliever up earlier.

Not that this will happen, but . . . since it's aganst the rules to knowingly engage in an activity designed solely to lengthen or shorten the game, [4.15(b )] couldn't MLB retroactively forfeit that game? Just to make the point that if you're going to cheat and get away with, maybe you shouldn't be bragging about it on ESPN right after the game?

I know - it'll never happen.

I watched an old episode of Maverick this morning and he got beat on a little known Hoyle rule. He told her she won but it would only happen once because everyone will be aware of her trick. Maddon is in the same boat. The next time the pitcher may actually be hurt and the umpire is going to tell him to pack sand. Kind of like the child sheepherder.

MLB should make him put the pitcher on the 15 day DL.

It was actually a fielder, not a pitcher. I agree, though.
