Batter hits a home run over the fence, nobody on base. Score is 4-3 batters team losing and two outs (home team). Batter touches all bases except home. Team celebrates and goes into the dugout. What is the correct call. Thanks

As PU, stay mute. A play like that has to be appealed by the defence. If they do, he is out for abandonment and visitor wins 4 to 3.. If no appeal, tie score....move on.

On a second note, what if the score was 3-0 runners on 1st and 2nd or bases loaded and he hit the home run, still the batter did not touch home plate do runners a and b, or a b and c score.

What should you do if it is a walk-off HR? Obviously standing around would hint at the defense that something's up, but quickly getting off the field would be just as problematic because then you aren't around to uphold an appeal.

Just see what the defense does, when "they have left the field" is when all defensive players have left fair territory going to the dougout, once that happens, no appeal can be made, they have to have someone in fair territory to make an attempt at an appeal. And rember, the ball"has the be alive and in play" for an apeal

I'm going by LL rule book 7.10 (d) note 1

Act just as you would if the batter had touched the plate, but keep your ears open for someone getting your attention. Don't stand around to "alert" the defense that "something is wrong" and don't rush (faster than usual) off the field to "avoid" the appeal.
