Gold vs. Platinum

Okay, I'm seeking opinions from people who have used both the Wilson Gold and Platinum CPs. I have a Platinum right now (The bigger size of the two). It has worked very well, but it is hard to keep up around my neck. I'm a fairly thin guy (About 6'1", 175), and it seems like the Gold's M/L size (38-44) would fit me better.

So if you've actually put both of them on, which is your favorite and why? I'm considering selling my Platinum and getting the Gold.

P.S. - If you're interested in a good deal on my Platinum let me know before I put it on eBay.

I had the regular platinum.. I then returned it for the smaller sized platinum and it worked somewhat better but not completely.. Then I sold it and got the M-L WV Gold. It fits perfect, stays around my neck fine and wraps around my body better. I think it makes me look more professional too. It's not very bulky when the shirt is tightly tucked in as well. I wish I bought the WV gold before I wasted money with the platinum.

You didn't waste any money; it's a great product. I flipped a coin when they were both being offered at a great price, and I chose the Platinum and love it. I too wish I had picked the Gold, just for one of the main reasons that you stated: it looks less bulky and you look sharper when you're wearing it.

So my Gold gets here tomorrow or the next day and I'll try that for a while and let you know.

I have no problems with my Platinum. It's still very new. You might want to try adjusting the straps again. I think if shorten the back strap that goes to the wrap around strap I might have sightly better luck with it not slipping down. Also, I'm still trying to form it. Still kinda looks flat in the front.

I might get a gold next time. But I don't really need any more protection than that.

you have to work it. make it fit your body. i have had my platinum for 3 years and i still work it everytime i put it on. the way it lays in my bag it tries to go back flat from side to side, so when i put it on i will pinch the sides together. top to bottom it fits great.

i had to loosen the top "y" straps and cinch up the bottom of the "y" to make it quit sliding down on me. hope this helps.

That is excatly what I do. But being only LL, it's not like I have a game everyday. So it's still extremely springy. I too need to make the same adjustment.
