12U 2nd game last night, one team's there and one isn't. The coach is coming over to quiz me when the complex supervisor shows up. The super told us, "The other team will probably be a no-show, but..." The coach cut him off. "Then we win by forfeit."

"But," the supervisor continued, "We're going to reschedule." Coach starts to get a little blustery. "Game time is forfeit time. If they're not here...

The super cut HIM off. "They're from Joplin coach." Coach looked a little embarrassed and said, "No problem. Just let us know when."

This whole part of the state is in a state of shock, and if you've seen any of the pictures or video, and the numbers, you know why. All of us down here know teams, coaches, players, & parents from Joplin and that makes it little tough, too. Keep them all in your thoughts...

Nothing like a little reality to make people understand that, although we love it, baseball is a GAME!

Thoughts and prayers to all affected in Joplin, Tuscaloosa, the entire Mississippi waterway and everywhere else they are dealing with these terrible tragedies.
