Oh no, Riddell stopped years & years ago, back in the Joe West, Douglas days. This was the first single bar Riddell umpire mask I ever saw listed on ebay and I happened to see it at the right time. Pure luck. Vanover's TG is old like the mask, might be a Riddell as well. In doing some research about this mask, another umpire on a different forum bought this Riddell mask brand new in 1991 from Honigs for $79 ... Honigs own single bar mask was $69.

My mask is a Riddell, same manufacturer of the Power chest protector. How do you like the Mizuno TG?

Thanks Arik. I'm going to use a plain black 6" throat guard. nothing fancy, got it for under six bucks shipped.
-
Since those photos I have moved the bottom pad down to where the lines intersect and have a throat guard to add.

Really nice looking rig Spencer.

Nice rig, also like the extra shoulder plates. -
Those are some pretty sweet looking pads young man ... they'd look good in my new "old school" Riddell

I snatched this up off of ebay this morning ... old school http://www.ebay.com/itm/201707255435?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mizuno-Umpire-Mask-/112190007665?hash=item1a1f0ba971:g:6o8AAOSwo4pYGJVi $$$$ ... why so pricey, because it's from Japan? Does it feel different wearing a mask with the built in throat guard absent or removed and just the guard dangling?

This happened to me ... you have to go to paypal and dispute it like JaxRolo said above. Be patient, it will take a long time but you will eventually get a full refund.

I have to admit that I noticed Guccione's hands in his pants pockets as well and it looked sloppy & unprofessional to me. Last night was ideal for a plate coat. But he could care less what I think and he did a great job back there last night. Arrieta had filthy stuff last night and wasn't easy to track but Guccione was on his game.

Sold Jeff, please lock it.

So what are trying to accomplish with your second snarky remark? I'm right here ...
-
That doesn't bode well for those who bleed Dodger blue.
-
If the replay umps had gotten the call right then maybe they wouldn't have felt like giving up 10 runs ...
-
It's all good. Roberts will have to bring back Kershaw tonight. Obviously not a "must-win" but if LA loses tonight ... I don't like their chances moving forward.
-
It took the air out of the sails of the Dodgers, you could see it and if you were there you could have probably felt it ... so yes, it changed the game.
-
As close of a call as you can get ... I'm a little chaffed because it changed the game and I enjoy rooting against the Cubs.
-
This is how instant replay was intended to be used ... except they blew the call. He looked safe to me.
