About Me

In my 'real life' I am a retired Fire Fighter/Paramedic (Captain) for 31 years. My schedule now leaves me lots of time to umpire. Basically my season runs from February (meetings/clinics) to the middle of October. My 'retirement job' is a part-time grounds keeper at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Maine.

Levels that I work include NCAA Div II, III (Fall D-1) (7 years), Federation high school (25+ years), American Legion (15+ years), 90' Little League divisions 25+ years), 60' Little League (35+ years). I  also have the honor to work the Cape Cod Baseball League ( 2 years) (College summer league).

I am currently a member of the E-Board of my High School board. Duties include - training and E-Board responsibilities.

I am also the Assistant UIC of Maine District 3 Little League (we are told it is the largest LL District East of the Mississippi). I am responsible for training and tournament management. I was also the Assistant UIC for the Senior League World Series (12 years). Duties included scheduling umpires, evaluations and troubleshooting. The tournament was moved to South Carolina for the 2017 season.
