How high does the ball have to be to be called IF? Some coaches argue about this, I just say in my judgement it was IF.

It has to be high enough for you to judge it an IF. It has to be high enough somebody can get under it with ordinary effort. No height is mentioned in any rules so it's up to you. The coaches can argue all they want, this is your call to make.

Excellent description. F6 can be in short left field for that matter. Just remember what the situation would be like w/o the IFF rule and the fielder was smart enough to drop the ball. Look at the disadvantage of the offense.

Also, mstaylor is correct. No amount of argument is going to change things. It's YOUR judgement and that is final.

I have screwed up a bunch this year...I totally forgot that they changed the rule this year to 27' 1/2" from 27' 1/4".....
