Obstruction Call ...proud!

My first bases game yesterday, on the front end of a double header. Second inning, .....run down between 2nd and 3rd ...... I'm watching the ball ....staying with it, ...saying to myself, relax ....watch for obstruction......stay with it ..>BOOOM ...there it was...

Without a flinch, I point and say "that's obstruction" ....as I say this the ball is thrown to F5 for an easy tag out ....I call "TIME" ..."that's obstruction (point to the fielder)" ...then to the runner ...."you , 3rd base" ...

I'm ready for the storm, and I hear nothing ...then I hear F6 say, ...what did I do blue, ...I said ...you impeded his progress, he had to change direction and get out of your way, you don't have to touch him .... he looked at me and said ...OHHhhh ok ....

Then the pitcher asked, what did he do? I repeated my explanation...and then off with the remainder of the inning. Nothing from the defensive bench. After the inning, ... my partner with MUCH more experience than me says ....'hey ....awesome OBS call!! Awesome!"

It made my weekend!
