Not sure why these are being pushed as base shoes, unless you are using them on dry artificial turf fields? There are no nubs on these shoes. Brooks are basically running shoes, but they are outstanding shoes. I bought my first pair a few years ago, now own five pair, and will not use anything else for my walking or running. Quote
