HP Umpire Junior Valentine ejected Red Sox hitting coach Peter Fatse (strike one call; QOCY) in the top of the 6th inning of the #RedSox-#Orioles game. With one out and one on (R2), Red Sox batter Kiké Hernández took a first-pitch sinker from Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer for a called first strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the inner half of home plate and at the midpoint (px -0.25, pz 3.38 [sz_top 3.26 / RAD 3.38 / MOE 3.46), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Orioles were leading, 5-4. The Orioles ultimately won the contest, 5-4.

This is Junior Valentine (25)'s 1st ejection of 2023.
