Navas is showing as starting in the Gulf Coast League for 2015. The Florida State League statistics for 2017 show him being 35. So his MLB debut at 38, as well as his  MiLB career starting at 33 takes over as the oldest in modern times. Hey, no matter what, someone will always be the oldest and someone will always be the youngest.

West started MiLB in 1974 and got his first MLB call up games in September 1976 while everyone else was working their MiLB playoffs, and since his birthday is right at the end of October, he was the ripe old age of 23. Billy Evans AL  at 22 years 2 months and Bill Williams NL was 22 years 10 months and 25 days for the youngest pups.

3 time World Series umpire, Shag Crawford,  started his MLBU career at 39 years 7 months and 17 days and finished at 69 years and 29 days old. 3 time WS, Dutch Rennert, started at 43+ years old.
