SWMBO - - the saga continues

Well, those of you that have been around for awhile may have seen a few of my SWMBO posts.......... @maineump, well, he's met her.  Like the topic says, the saga continues.  This year, I was asked to come back to our LL and help fix/revive the JR Umpire program that I had started some 10 years ago.  Well, I lined the jr's up for a few scrimmages. In between innings, I'm reviewing the basics for positioning (slot, stance, head height, etc).  At the end of the game, they start to congregate around my truck.  It is at this time, I just kind of stand in the background, as she starts with the younger guys.  It goes something like this...

SWMBO:  Guys, that iron that your mother uses on your clothes, WILL FIT your hand as well. Don't come to a game looking like you just jumped on a wrinkle grenade to save the rest of them. Crease those pants LONG WAYS, not in a crumpled pattern.

Then it was (SWMBO), You....., tall kid, what's your name?

Tall Kid: Tyler

SWMBO: Tyler, ask your dad or grandpa what shoe polish is.  You shouldn't try and shine your shoes with a Hershey bar!

 

I think she is around umpires a Lliiiiiiiiiitttttttttllllllllllllleeeeeeeeee too much.
