Deleting Messages/Conversations

Another technical question: how do I delete a message or conversation? With the reconfigured UE, I don't see such a mechanism.

go to the conversation

 

click on link in upper corner that say's "message"  use drop down to "leave conversation"

Does that delete it or merely "close" access to it?

Seems it deletes it from your inbox.  The other member would still have it in his the way I see it.
