There's a special rule during the world series that allows a do-over.  There was a play (in 2014 ?) when a pitch struck the knob of a bat.   If I recall correctly, the umpire initially killed the play, but the replay showed the ball did not touch the batter.  According to the special replay rules, the result is a do-over.

I had never heard of this until seeing it on TV, never having worked a game with replay.  It's not in the rulebook.
