Hello,

My name is Sean, I am 24, and I have been commenting and asking questions for about four or five months now.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on this site and the feedback that is provided.  Whether funny or serious, I enjoy most everything i read... except for the guest coaches bitching on the Ask the Umpire Page . 

I got into umpiring a few years ago because It was one of the few jobs that was available to a college baseball player during the summers.  When it finally became time to hang it up, I figured that this could be something that I could be alright at because I was at the "next level" (college) and I felt I knew "real baseball."  When I started at a different four year school (moved because of my fiance) it became a way to support myself through school and now grad school. I have yet to go to pro-school, but i intend to when I can afford it.  Because of recent federal government policies , I figured I could continue to make more money doing this than slaving away at a part time SH*# job (many of which I've had).  If you work hard and treat people right, it can be done. 

Because of a few dedicated people along the way, I feel that I've had really good training and tutorship from former pro and college umpires that like to see young guys succeed.  I am hoping to make it into the regular season college ranks for next spring.  I currently do summer college, high school, and whatever the hell the assigner gives me so I can make money, games.  I am studying History at the graduate level in northern Colorado (if your wondering why or for what purpose, pm me.  I doubt many people would want to read more of a post that's going on too long anyway).  I like hunting, fishing, woodworking, shooting, being away from my computer or office (I'm a TA) when the sun is out, not attending liberal democrat cry baby rallies, and cruising around in my 1986 Jeep CJ7 when I get it to start.   I also enjoy ice cold Budweiser and grilling beef over mesquite wood charcoal (you should try it, it will change your life).  A football coach in high school called me clasonater as a cheezy joke.
